Following on from the success of the Waterfront event, Ireland’s Future followed through on its commitment to bring forward the campaign for the Irish Government to establish a Civic Forum with a mandate to properly plan for a future Ireland – an Ireland that will be at peace, prosperous, inclusive and respecting the rights of everyone born in Ireland regardless of political affiliation.
The title of the Newry event was ‘Our Rights – Our Future’
Amongst the speakers were: High Court Justice Richard Humphreys, Senator Ian Marshall, LGBT rights activist Bernadine Quinn and Irish language rights advocate Pádraig Ó Tiarnaigh.
